Fénis is a small town just 13.1 km from Aosta, the regional capital of Valle d’Aosta. It is on the orographic right side of the river Dora Baltea, on the Envers slope. Easy to reach, Fénis is an obligatory target for both Italian and foreign tourists and trekking lovers: it would be a shame to visit the Valle d’Aosta without having visited the medieval castle or taken a stroll into the mountains. With the right training, from one can reach mountain peaks such as Mont Glacier and Punta Tersiva, from Val Clavalité where one can admire the most enchanting landscapes. From high up there, one can really perceive how small man is compared to nature... there does not exist a single camera in this whole world able to transmit such a sensation. In any case, even without the appropriate training, it is possible to reach the top of Mont Saint-Julien from which a very evocative landscape may be enjoyed. |
