Saint-Julien Chapel [View the map]
Continuing along the path you will find that the path forks into two. Here there is a sign which points you to the Saint Julian chapel. Before taking to the ridge, it is recommended to continue on for a few meters along level ground: you will reach a clearing which looks out over the whole of the Clavalité Valley. Tersiva Mountain [3513 m] dominates the scene. The lane that leads up to the chapel runs along the edge of a precipice but don’t worry because the path is wide and it has a protective rail. It offers exceptional panoramas!
La cappella è piuttosto piccola, molto modesta, priva di decorazioni. The chapel itself is very small, modest and undecorated. It is made up of two spaces: that which houses the alter is normally kept closed, while the other space, the one for the worshippers, usually remains open. Both excursionists and faithful people can write their hopes and impressions, or even just sign their names or leave their passing sign, in a little book kept to those ends.
The value of the chapel can be principally found in the traditions that surround the devotion to its saint.
