PIEILLER HIGH VALLEY
NUMERICAL CODE: 14 STARTING POINT: Praz-Premier [2011 m] GRADIENT: 516 m TIME ALLOWANCE: 1 h 50 min MAP: see the map - download the PDF map MOBILE NETWORK COVERAGE: TIM (you can easily talk on the peak of the mountain) NOTES: although this route is not dangerous it is advisable to wear walking boots.
Once reached Praz-Premier, looking around, you will see a road sign which shows the right direction. Once having crossed the woods, you continue on, cutting sideways across the slope, with a view of pastures and the Nus hill in the background; in the end, after numerous bends, you will arrive at a place where it is possible to see Corquet’s peak. Here it is necessary to be careful not to lose your direction: don’t carry straight on along the the line of stones which looks like a mule track! Instead, we advise you to keep the left-hand road: after a few metres the path will reappear and it is the least steep and the least risky way to reach the top. If you do make a mistake, don’t worry: climbing up you will see the path again and you can reach it by cutting across the slope. The footpath terminates at “plan de Tzantetille” and the view is sufficient to leave everyone speechless.
